One of the most iconic moves in classic samurai cinema is this Zato-ichi's flash cut. Whether you know the much loved antihero or not, this move will grab your attention if you're interested in flashy sword action. I can not post any clips from the original movies due to the copyright policy in Japan. And as an industry professional, I strongly recommend you to either purchase or rent the movie...

Also with this technique you take off from the ground, because you can not fall indefinitely, otherwise you would hit the ground with your whole body at some point. xD
Wow😮😮😮😮
I feel like I run like this when I’m drunk
You mention not swinging arms, so was that meant to be running with a stationary sword?
Hey
"But the fly is still alive?" "Yes, but he can't have larvae anymore."
Try it on ballistic dummy cus if it doesn't hurt the dummy enough then its not going to be good for you
Hilarious, you're ready for the movies!
God bless you.
Speed - 100 Damage - 0
Ударившись об объект он у тебя с руки выподит😂😂иди перед детьми выпендривайся
All running and walking is falling forward and catching yourself. The samurai were very up tight and everything had to be done a certain way even if it wasn't effective or efficient. Women walked with tiny steps because they saw that as feminine for example. This way of running is not efficient, it's quite the opposite. I would challenge anyone to run a marathon using this style .Just added this to the list of weird sh*t the Japanese do.
-.- my nose hurts now!
He has to been totally engulfed in the Art since early childhood for such skills
Even the sound makes me want to hide
Cool i try it by my next trip to eastern Turkiye. where there are many mountains.
Right... I have been doing the ninja wrong my whole life!!
Haaaaii❣️
Similar theory employed in Chi running, and Pose running (which I've tried and it works)
Sir, you told me how fast you run but when we run with a little band, when we stop, we can fall, why don't we stop?
Anime is SUPER WEETARTED...NEVER try to emulate of explain anime as if it makes sense in a martial arts perspective...the "Naruto run" is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen and caused countless injuries in foolish kids...Samurai and Shinobi DID NOT "run that way"
Another thing to keep in mind, is swords. If you run like we do today, the sword would fall out of the scabbard, or out of the belt. Running so that the hips don't turn, keeps the sword in place, and it's easier to draw the sword if the arms don't swing.
Perfect
Perfect technique, I had already done it before and it is very good for a start.
Thank you!
No. The blade will stop if it actually hit something.. unless you're cutting tofu..
Could you show a longer sequence of the actual run...not just the setup & one step!?
Ето искусство...
In school i could run faster because i would just tilt my backpack onto my head while doing a Naruto run
Cutting the Air 😮
Pew pew!
Drawing a katana does not make that sound.
fake katana
Sensei! Arigatou gozaimasu!!! 🙏 This will take much practice to perfect! <3
You find the same thing in medival European paintings. When you see the swords man painted in motion they are always on the front of the foot never the heel of the foot. So many have surmized that they ran, walked and moved differently than we do today. They blame the advent of board walks in town centers and paved roads along with the development of a harder shoe/boot with a pronounced heel wedge.
Your also lower. Which if say a rival ninja was shooting arrows atcha, would be an evasive advantage
Excellent!
He raises his two fingers underneath turns slow and hold
I learned this as a child, and thought I picked it up from some cartoon. I may have, but I don't know if I can identify which cartoon it actually was or if that was actually a thing. I just knew that if I leaned forward and my legs didn't compensate for basically falling forward the whole time, then I would fall down. I consider it a trick of psychology. It's not that there is actually anything physics wise going on here that can make you go faster. It's psychological. You trick yourself into doing more because you don't have a choice. If you don't want to fall on your face and injure yourself, your legs will make you move faster. Another thing that I added right here after I continued watching the rest of the video is in regard to what you said about running uphill. If you lean back as far as you can and try to walk, you will notice that your butt muscles don't have much range of motion, and so they can't accomplish very much. If you lean forward, you make the best use with the highest range of motion of the biggest muscles you use to run. Well that's true for me anyway and some other people, but I guess it depends on your physiology. I've always noticed that if I lean forward slightly while I'm trying to go up a hill, it's easier to do with the use of my gluteus muscles.
I wonder if the power behind a cut like this would actually clear, you are likely to drop the blade, do this again with bamboo stand
I tried this but this guy's speed is insane i can never do in that speed 🔥
Interesante
Bello
Shame the last vids 2 years old
Fast:💪 Damage:💩
I swear i used to try doing something like this when I was younger, I did eventually stop cause I kept falling face first into the floor whenever one of my feet lost traction with the floor
How we know they were aliens from another planet is how they run. Imagine if everyonr used segways and never walked, the one guy who got off his segway to try it wothout the segway would prolly do this too.
"Hey, That was Soooo cool ! Oh, wait; Is that MY arm ? Fk, it is....Gahdammit !"
😏That was slick. 🤘
